Operation Soap, Toronto's infamous Bathhouse Raids happened on this day 35 years ago, on February 5, 1981.
Protesters could be heard through out the city shouting "Enough is Enough," in their cries of outrage against the horrific actions taken by the police. Both staff members and patrons of several Toronto bath houses were verbally and physically assaulted by police officers. Thousands of dollars of property damage to the bath house premises also occurred by the hands of the police.
