making a difference

Here we are with our winter and final edition of 2013; it has been an exciting three years. I have had the pleasure to meet and communicate with a wonderful selection of interesting people representing the LGBT community. We have continued to seek out members of the community who have a fascinating story to tell, and our lineup for 2014 is going to be no different.

This issue is jam packed with stories of people who have made a difference not only in their own lives but in the LGBT community as well. Blake, our cover story, is a perfect example. He faced challenges being gay in the world of competing athletes. A young man who is going to the Olympics in Sochi as an openly gay athlete, his story makes for an amazing read.

Our travel section covers two destinations half a world apart. Whistler, one of Canada’s top travel spots, is in full swing promoting “Winter Pride”, which is set for January 2014. The other is Tel Aviv, Israel, which has a reputation of “the city that never sleeps”, has no Gaybourhood because the whole city is LGBT friendly, and is a place where it’s acceptable to walk hand in hand. I invite you to join me on this specially designed LGBT adventure of a lifetime to visit Israel for Gay Pride in Tel Aviv.

This amazing experience with special parties is second to none.

From all of us at OUTVisions, we wish you the happiest holiday season ever and the very best for 2014. We look forward to continue bringing you interesting editorial during the next 12 months. See you in the spring.

Be proud, be happy and above all be safe this winter. And don’t forget to always have a copy of OUTVisions by your side.
