an unforgettable getaway
when heading to paradise, you’ll need a place to stay
The Painted Boat Resort Spa & Marina in B.C.’s Sunshine Coast has it all: stunning views, fine dining, luxurious accommodations, and more
When heading to paradise, you’ll need a place to stay.
B.C.’s Sunshine Coast is often described as Canada’s own version of paradise, nestled between mountains and the Strait of Georgia, with plenty of harbours, coves, bays and inlets meandering through islands and the coastal communities. When heading to an area of such unsurpassed beauty, you’ll want to stay somewhere that truly captures the spirit of the area. Painted Boat Resort Spa & Marina succeeds.
Located in the small town of Madeira Park in Pender Habour, the luxurious five-acre resort features spacious one and two-bedroom villas designed to specifically take full advantage of the Sunshine Coast’s extraordinary geography. The villas range in size from 1,117 to 1,700 square feet, feature an open floor plan as well as balconies, patios or decks complete with barbecues and views of the harbour. Each of the 31 villas feature gourmet kitchens, cozy sitting areas complete with stone fireplaces and bathrooms with large soaker tubs and separate shower stalls.
While there is plenty to do in the area, you could spend your entire vacation on resort grounds. Swim in the infinity edge pool or take in a harbour view while soaking in the hot tub. Get your workout in without going outdoors by using the on-site fitness facility. Looking to get pampered? Visit the SPA at Painted Boat, offering up world-class spa treatments in a setting of natural splendour. Guests can partake in a variety of treatments, from manicures, pedicures, massages and facials to exfoliations and wraps. Each of the treatments incorporates a blend of sea nutrients and essential oils, taking inspiration from the spa’s surroundings, employing the power of the sea and its plant life. The facilities include signature couples rooms, a hydrotherapy room and a steam room.
Find further tranquility nestled among the resort’s towering conifers, in the Spa Garden that offers up a relaxing oasis for guests. With a multi-jet hot pool with massaging waterfall, the garden area also has a warm salt water flotation pool, sauna, and outdoor glacial rain shower. Warm up afterwards near one of the outdoor fire pits and when you’re all done, drop your swimsuit off at the swimsuit drying valet service.
While each room is outfitted with a gourmet kitchen, the resort also features an exclusive fine dining restaurant that highlights the abundance of fresh ingredients available on the Sunshine Coast. Its seasonal menu is only rivaled by the spectacular views of the Pacific ocean and the resort’s marina. Ingredients are sourced from local purveyors on the coast by Executive Chef Steven Boudreau, who uses them to craft a West Coast Pacific Rim style that has made the restaurant a popular haunt for locals and visitors alike.
Friends of the environment will be happy to learn that Painted Boat takes sustainability to heart, considering the environment in every decision it makes. The design of the resort was planned to ensure low impact on the environment.
