Lowest Fares for a Gay River Cruise in Asia

Rainbow High has partnered with Brand g Vacations to give LGBT Canadian travellers a unique opportunity to experience the stark contrast between bustling Vietnam and tranquil Cambodia, with visits to local villages, historic pagodas, floating markets and even the Royal Palace located in Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Phen.

For this exotic cruise, Rainbow High and Brand g have selected the AmaLotus – one of the most luxurious river vessels sailing in Southeast Asia – a 124-passenger ship that includes a spa, swimming pool and fitness center for guests to enjoy throughout their trip.

The 7-night cruise begins at Tonle Sap Lake, known for its abundant bird life and quaint fishing villages. Travellers will enjoy a motorboat excursion through the lakeside wetlands along the Tonle Sap River, oxcart rides through the countryside, Buddhist monastery tours, and visits to floating markets. The ship’s deluxe accommodations include outside stateroom, gourmet dining, complimentary spirits, beer and soft drinks, and special onboard entertainment.

Prices for the 7-night cruise start as low as USD$2,799, with a single supplement of just 33% for solo travellers for the cruise-only option. Single supplements are typically 100% of the basic per-person rate. These prices represent the lowest fares and best value for a gay river cruise in Southeast Asia.

Rainbow High and Brand g are also offering an 11-night optional package with prices starting at USD$3,549* that includes a two-night pre-cruise stay in Siem Reap at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Hotel and includes a guided sightseeing tour of the Angkor Archaeological Park, visits to Angkor Thom, Terrace of the Elephants and the Bayon before boarding the AmaLotus for the 7-night cruise. After the cruise, guests will enjoy a 2-night stay in bustling Ho Chi Minh City at the Sheraton Saigon.

An optional 15-night expedition is also available with prices beginning at $4,799*. It begins with a 2-night stay in Hanoi at the award-winning Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel and includes visits to such historical sites as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Binh Square and The Temple of Literature. Guests will also experience the romance of Ha Long Bay in an overnight excursion on a traditional wooden junk before catching a short flight to Siem Reap for the remainder of their trip.

“This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure for LGBT travellers and their friends,” said Charlie Rounds, General Manager of Brand g Vacations. “From postcard beautiful Ha Long Bay to the stunning ancient empire of Angkor Wat, our guests will get to experience some of the most fascinating destinations in the world. We’re also adding special activities to make the trip even more meaningful for our guests.”
